Carnelian
Also called Karneol
Stabilizes Mars energy. Channels passion without combustion.
About this stone
Carnelian is a warm orange-red chalcedony that the Egyptians wore as protective amulets and the Romans cut into signet rings. Astrologically it belongs to Mars — but Mars in its workable mode: courage, drive, sexual energy that can be aimed rather than scattered. In a relationship that keeps running hot and then cold, Carnelian is the steadier choice over the more famous (and more volatile) Ruby.
