Garnet
Also called Granat
Mars-Pluto fire. Renews passion and commitment in equal measure.
About this stone
Garnet ranges from blood-red almandine to fiery spessartine. It is a January birthstone in the Western tradition, and a Mars stone in astrological practice — sometimes assigned to Pluto in modern work. Unlike Carnelian, which channels Mars laterally into action, Garnet drives it forward into commitment. Where Mars synastry has gone cold or polite, Garnet warms it back up.
